Irn Bru Scottish Second Division 2007 - 2008

With two-up and two-down each season, the ten team Third Division of the SFL must have one of the world's highest turnover of members of any national competition in the world. At this level, even modest sales of replica shirts to supporters represent an important income stream for clubs most of who who struggle to attract four-figure crowds.

Sponsor: ARP

Airdrie have switched from red shorts to more traditional white for this season. From the point of view of the SFL, Airdrie are a continuation of the old Clydebank FC but their choice of playing strips and their name are a clear indication that the club considers itself to be the heirs of Airdrieonians. The black away kit features pale gold trimmings.

The home kit is unchanged from last season and was previously worn in 2003-04. The away kit is an unlikely combination of claret with green trim.

Designer: Nike

Sponsor: Innovate Cowdenbeath Ltd

Some years ago the board of Cowdenbeath came up with the idea of reinventing the club as "The Blue Brazil" on the rather tenuous basis that their blue and white home kit was similar to the World Champions change kit. Naturally they wear gold, green and blue when their blue shirts clash away from home.
