Welsh Premier League Cynghrair Bel Droid Cymru 2015 - 2016

wpl logo englishwpl logo cymraegThe WPL is the national, semi-professional competition for Welsh clubs. It is fed by the Huws Gray Alliance in the north and the Welsh Football League in the south. Prestatyn Town, who were reprieved last season, finished last and were relegated while Cefn Druids returned to the Alliance after one season having finished in 11th place.

After missing out repeatedly in recent seasons, Haverfordwest County, the only club in the Welsh Football League to hold a Premier League licence, were promoted to the top tier. Llandudno join them from the Alliance.

bala town fc crestBala were runners up last season and qualified for the Europa League. To capitalise on this the club has commissioned additional strips and shirt sponsorship to be exclusively worn in Europe just as they did in 2013-14. The current deal with Joma and Newport-based Total Teamwear has been renewed for a further three years. A brand new first kit is introduced and we were promised that this would be a completely new look, to be kept until 2017. It is in fact Joma's "Standard" design. The change strip is retained for one more season.
